Nikola Tesla loved to drink wines from the Varazdin region in Croatia
From the letters that Tesla sent to his uncle, Pajo Mandic, Tesla’s favorite drink was the wine his uncle sent him from Varazdin in Croatia. His uncle was a colonel in the Austro-Hungarian army and served in Varazdin at that time. In his letters, Tesla who was in the USA asked his uncle to send him wines from Varazdin because he didn’t like other wines. In one letter, he was quite disappointed as the wine had not arrived.
